our most requested work
in detail
-
Ceramic fuses, no RCD protection and a board full of add-ons is the most common problem we find in Perth homes.
In Western Australia a home needs at least two safety switches protecting all power and lighting circuits before it can be sold or leased.
We fit switchboards with RCD protection and circuit breakers on every circuit, then test and certify it.
Most switchboard upgrades are completed within a day.
-
Flickering lights, tripping circuit breakers and warm power points all point to electrical faults. We have experience finding faults using a systematic method to isolate the issue and resolve the fault in a timely, efficient manner. We pride ourselves on finding a resolution for our customers and work with you until the job is done.
Safety checks & certificates
Our safety checks cover the switchboard, safety switches, smoke alarms and wiring. Once the check is complete, we send a safety certificate to the person who requested it, whether that's the homeowner or the landlord. The certificate includes all the relevant information from the inspection.
Never attempt DIY electrical repairs, as unlicensed electrical work is prohibited in Western Australia.
-
We complete a full scope of electrical work for residential renovations, from rough in (wire up) and switchboard upgrades and RCD protection, to fit off, testing and compliance certification.
Older Perth homes often need rewiring to meet current Australian Standards, and it pays to address is correctly, faulty wiring is usually out of sight and issues can be concealed for extended periods of time.
During a renovation is the best time to make your property's wiring safe and compliant.
-
Split system air conditioners
We supply and install split system air conditioners, handling everything from choosing the right size unit for your space to mounting the indoor and outdoor units, running a dedicated circuit, fitting the isolator and connecting it all to your switchboard. With one team looking after the whole job, there's no need to organise separate trades, and you can be confident the electrical work is done properly from the start.
Ducted, evaporative & other systems
For ducted reverse cycle, evaporative and other heating and cooling systems, we take care of the electrical work. Whether you're installing a new system, replacing an old one or adding extra zones, we supply and fit the dedicated circuits, isolators, controls and cabling it needs, and check that your switchboard can safely handle the extra load. We're happy to work alongside your HVAC installer to make sure everything is powered safely and ready to run.

FAQ
frequently Asked Questions
-
Depends on the job. Larger projects are typically quoted based on plans provided by the customer, any changes in the scope of work will be reflected accordingly. Hourly rate can be the most cost effective option at times, you only pay for the time it actually takes - not how long we think it might take.
-
If you’ve still got ceramic fuses or no RCD protection, yes. In WA a home needs at least two RCDs protecting all power and lighting circuits before it’s sold or leased, and plenty of older Perth homes still fall short. We’ll test what you’ve got and tell you where you stand. Most upgrades take a day, and you don’t need to be home, though we will shut the power down for a short period.
-
It depends on what's tripping. If it's a circuit breaker, the circuit is usually overloaded and drawing more current than it can safely handle. If it's an RCD (safety switch), it has detected a fault on the user end of a circuit. The most common causes are a faulty appliance, damaged wiring or water getting into a power point, light fitting or cable. An RCD will also trip if someone touches a live part, which is how it protects you. We use a systematic approach to track down the fault, wherever it is along the line, so we fix the actual cause rather than guessing.
-
Yes, start to finish. Isolation, rough-in, switchboard work, lighting, power, data and final fit-off, all by the same in-house team rather than a different subcontractor at each stage. We work to the program agreed with you and your builder.
-
Yes. We install the dedicated circuit, isolator and controls for split systems, ducted reverse cycle and evaporative units, and check your switchboard can carry the extra load before the unit goes in. We’ll work in with your HVAC installer or handle a full changeover.
